SheerID grew 450% between 2016 and 2019; Hires Francois Rychlewski to oversee SheerID’s European expansion
Portland, OR, November 18 — SheerID today announced it ranked 251 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and energy tech companies in North America now in its 26th year. This is the second consecutive year in which SheerID has been named to Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™.
In addition to gaining significant market traction in the U.S., SheerID has seen many companies headquartered or operating in Europe – such as ASOS, Business Insider, Spotify and Tableau – add SheerID as an important program in their global customer acquisition strategy. Francois Rychlewski, a veteran European expansion executive within the martech industry with previous experience at Oracle, Adobe, and Marketo, has been named SheerID’s Director of Sales EMEA and will be responsible for continuing to grow the company’s business throughout the continent.
Founded in 2011, SheerID works with more than 250 B2C brands in retail, telecommunications, streaming media, internet services, software, and hospitality, and has processed more than 160 million requests for personalized offers around the world. SheerID’s Identity Marketing Platform allows brands – such as Target, Amazon, Lowe’s, Comcast, Google, and T-Mobile – to create gated, personalized offers and instantly verify a consumer’s eligibility with authoritative data in the brand’s existing customer experience.
A fast-growing part of SheerID’s business over the past year has been helping brands recognize our heroes on the front lines of the pandemic including doctors, nurses, first-responders, teachers, and students. The North Face, for example, recognizes the dedication and bravery of healthcare workers by giving them a 50% discount. Millions of healthcare workers have redeemed a special offer through SheerID in 2020 – a more than 20x increase over the same time period during 2019.
“Business leaders must always plan for resiliency and continuity in the face of a crisis,” stated Jake Weatherly, CEO. “We learned early in 2020 – as the global pandemic took shape and sparked critical, accelerated digital transformation for consumer brands – that the SheerID platform drives key, strategic growth during times of risk and when markets contract. Our customers are determined to recognize and help affected populations like the professionals who put their lives on the line to protect the rest of us. This was another reminder that honoring and inviting a person for her profession or life stage is a powerful way for brands to build strong, lasting, authentic relationships with consumers.”
“My partners and I invested in SheerID one year ago, shortly before the pandemic hit America’s shores,” stated Jason Glass, Partner at CVC Growth Partners. “During a time that many companies have struggled, SheerID’s growth over the past year has been remarkable. Though we had identified SheerID as the industry leader in identity marketing and identity attribute verification, you never know how a company will fare during an economic downturn. That said, it’s clear to us that Jake and his team have built an organization that is positioned extremely well for the long haul. We couldn’t be more excited to support them on their journey.”
“For more than 25 years, we’ve been honoring companies that define the cutting edge and this year’s Technology Fast 500 list is proof positive that technology — from software and digital media platforms, to biotech — truly does permeate so many facets of our lives,” said Paul Silverglate, vice chairman, Deloitte LLP and US technology sector leader. “We congratulate this year’s winners, especially during a time when innovation is needed more than ever to address the monumental challenges posed by the pandemic.”
